Playthrough: Sin & Punishment: Star Successor

Publisher: Nintendo
System(s): Wii
Release Date: June 27, 2010

I’m willing to bet many people never heard of Sin and Punishment, a Nintendo franchise that was introduced during the lifespan of the Nintendo 64 (and also the iQue Player, a system never released outside of China). For America and Europe, we had to wait quite a few years to get our hands on the game, such a long wait that our first exposure to the game was a port on the Wii’s virtual console. Then, out of nowhere, a sequel was announced, titled Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, exclusive for the Wii, developed by Treasure.

Now, honestly, the first time I heard about the game was a day before it was released. Even after that, it was another year before I decided to pick the game up. I felt kinda bad for the game after playing through it a few times. It’s such a well executed title that’s severely underrated, and deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

For this playthrough, there will be no commentary due to technical difficulties. At the time of recording, my headset would not pick up my voice at all, so I opted for post-commentary. Now, however, my headset once again decides to act defected, so instead I’ll be putting a lot more in the description. It’s not all bad though, as I finally finished a snazzy new intro that I plan on using for all my videos. Here’s part one of the playthrough.

Though there won’t be many parts to this playthrough, the videos themselves are pretty lengthy, with some lasting over half an hour (yikes). Anyway, if you wanna see more of this game, you can check out the playlist here. Enjoy!
