Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Announced for Localization

As previously posted, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is a compilation exclusive to the PlayStation 3 that includes remastered versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (previously exclusive to Japan) and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, as well as the cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. This compilation is set for release in Japan on March 14, 2013.

It’s been rumored for localizations outside of Japan for some time now. Today, it was just made official; Square-Enix announced on the PlayStation.Blog that the compilation is heading to North America this fall. The European branch of Square-Enix also announced that ReMIX is heading to Europe and Australia in the same time period. Check out the blog links for more details on the compilation’s release!

  • I think this is pretty awesome; we get two of the games that never released over here (or worldwide for the former) to finally enjoy. I’ve been holding off on buying a US version of Re: Chain of Memories for some time now, and it looks like it was a good idea to do so. I just hope they release KHII: Final Mix on the PS3 as well, because that’s another one I’d really love to play before they release the next instalment of the series.
