Reminder: Standalone Bayonetta 2 Disc Out Now in North America
A standalone version of Bayonetta 2 launched today in North America for the Wii U, with a budget price of $29.99. Nintendo has dropped the price of Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo eShop to the same price as well.
Previously, copies of Bayonetta 2 included a disc of the first Bayonetta, which includes some exclusive Nintendo content. The 2-disc version retailed for $59.99, which is basically a great deal for those two games. However, towards the end of last year, this version went out-of-print. Bayonetta was also announced as heading to Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U as a DLC fighter. So demand for Bayonetta 2 skyrocketed, causing prices to get to amounts that were way over MSRP.
But thankfully the game is easier to find now, albeit without the first game. However, the first Bayonetta is at least available on the eShop as well, priced at $29.99.
Here’s the game’s launch trailer from October 2014:
